Lawn of the Week
Get your mower and green thumb ready- this summer our "Lawn of the Week" program is back! City staff will be identifying outstanding yards of IGH residents whose lawn exemplify both neatness and natural beauty.  As they find a winner, a sign will be placed in their front yard for one week to proclaim their lawn as the "Lawn of the Week."

The winners will be honored at a Parks and Recreation Commission meeting in the fall, with a slide show that features each lawn.  Recipients will receive a certificate of achievement and a gift card from Gertens!

Touch-A-Truck
Come enjoy a morning of fun checking out trucks of all kinds. Your kids will get to sit in and explore fire trucks, garbage truck and many more!

The animals are coming out to play! Come in your best farm clothes to enjoy a fun barnyard themed evening with family and friends. Kids are invited to participate in themed games, crafts and a petting zoo!

Arts and Craft Fair & Women's Expo
Come enjoy a great day of shopping and learning!
Arts and Craft Fair will provide great items for sale by local vendors and the expo will provide great information on health, finance, beauty and much more!


Are you a vendor interested in this event? Returning vendors will have priority registration through Aug. 26. Registration will open to all others on Aug. 29.

Halloween House Decorating Contest
Calling all haunted homeowners- we need you to show off your creepily decorated home!  The Parks and Recreation Department is sponsoring a free Halloween decorating contest with a great prize for the spookiest house in Inver Grove Heights. You must be registered to be eligible for the prizes; call 651-350-2585 or online. Judging will take place the week of October 24.  Please register by Oct. 21.  IGH residents only, please.

Boo Bash and Trick-or-Treating (ages 2-12)
Calling all ghosts, goblins, superheroes and animals; it's time for our annual Boo Bash!  Make your way around the gym for lots of spooks, goodies and treats! The bash includes games, frightful friends and chilling crafts. Don't forget to come in costume for this hauntingly good time!

Skate with Santa (all ages; children must be accompanied by an adult)
Ho! Ho! Ho! Santa is coming to visit the Community Center on skates!  Skate around the ice with Santa and your family.  Come dressed in red or green and you will get a special holiday prize.  Hot beverage and snacks will be provided.
