Broderick Blvd. now fully open

Image of Broderick Blvd completed road project

The Broderick Blvd. reconstruction is complete and on Nov. 7,  was fully open from 80th Street to Concord Blvd.

The project, which began last spring, was completed in multiple phases, the last being the stretch from College Trail to 80th Street. The north segment of the project—from 80th Street to College Trail—included the addition of a 10-foot trail which now completes the connection between the 80th Street, College Trail and Broderick Blvd pedestrian system. The south segment of the project included the addition of a sidewalk from Concord Blvd. to Brooks Blvd. along the west side of Broderick Blvd. providing pedestrian access to the business district.

City Council, key legislators and staff worked hard to secure $1M in state funding through MnDOT’s Local Road Improvement Program, to help with the cost of the $3.1 million construction project.
