Comment on Potential Changes to Sleepy Hollow and Seidl's Lake Parks

Image announcing Public Comment on Potential Changes to Sleepy Hollow and Seidl's Lake parks

Residents are invited to comment on potential changes to Sleepy Hollow and Seidl's Lake parks at an upcoming Parks and Recreation Commission or City Council meeting. Changes to the parks may include:

  • Should the City install a 1/2 court basketball court in Seidl's Lake Park during the summer of 2019. As a reminder, new playground equipment has already been approved and ordered.
  • Should the City allow dogs to be off-leash in Seidl's Lake Park and Sleepy Hollow Park as long as the dog is wearing an electric collar and is not within 100 feet of the soon to be installed playground or basketball court. Dog owners would be required to purchase an Inver Grove Heights Dog Park Pass that would allow them to have their dog off-leash at Seidl's Lake Park, Sleepy Hollow Par k, and at the off-leash dog park at Heritage Village Park.

You are invited to attend one of the public meeting listed below.

  • Feb. 13, 7 p.m., Parks and Recreation Commission, City Hall, 8150 Barbara Avenue
  • Feb. 25, 7 p.m., City Council, City Hall, 8150 Barbara Avenue
  • March 11, 7 p.m., City Council, City Hall, 8150 Barbara Avenue

If you are unable to make one of the public meetings you can send an email to Eric Carlson, Parks and Recreation director, at  ecarlson@invergroveheights.org or call 651-450-2587 and your comments will be shared with the Park and Recreation Commission and City Council.
