Learn to Skate
Learn to SkateOur learn to skate program is committed to fostering the development of every skater. We provide a variety of programs which teach the fundamentals of skating to all ages and abilities.

Visit our Open Skate and Hockey Hours page to find out more information on open skate times.

Skating Attire
Layered clothing works best with gloves. We do not recommend snowsuits, heavy gear or jeans as they hinder the skater's movement. It is highly recommended that skaters ages 6 and under wear a helmet.

Skates
Skates should fit snug and have ample ankle support. Tie the skates tight beginning at the toe box. Double runners are not allowed. We recommend starting in a figure skate. Tots 1 - 4 should start in figure skates; hockey skates are more difficult for beginning skaters until they have mastered some skills at which point they can switch to hockey skates.

Classes
We are offer all levels of classes from beginners to hockey players and figure skaters.  Classes meet on Tuesdays and Saturdays for 30 minutes, along with 30 minutes of practice time. The fee includes four open skate passes for the participant to use during public open skate times.
