FUNdamental Basketball Skills (grades 1-5)
Have fun sharpening our basketball skills in preparation for the season. Work on the FUNdamentals with engaging drills and friendly competitions. The skills of the game will be taught in an easy to learn way. This session will be beneficial to all aspiring players as it will help reinforce the fundamentals of proper shooting, defense, rebounding, passing and dribbling in a positive, low-key environment.

Kindergarten Basketball (all boys and girls currently enrolled in kindergarten)
This program serves as a great introduction to the game of basketball for kindergarten boys and girls. The league will run primarily on Tuesdays, but on Thursdays as necessary. The program meets six times and time are assigned. Volunteer coaches are needed. Fee includes t-shirt.

Youth Basketball Leagues
Our basketball leagues offer youth the opportunity to learn the game of basketball in a fun, positive environment where each participant will have the opportunity to play in each game. Sign up now to be a part of the team! 

Important things to know about the league: 
  • Volunteer coaches are needed for each league
  • Program format is two meetings each week (either two practices, one game and one practice or two games)
  • Coaches will notify participants regarding the first practice the week before the league starts
  • Practices are established by volunteer coaches and vary according to availability of gym space as well as the coach's schedule. Please note: practices may not be on the same days of the week as games. 
  • Particpants must register according to the league descrption. 
  • Only one player or coach request per person. Requests must match.
  • Depending on the number of players registered, there is a possibility IGH teams could play games in/against surrounding cities. 

Mite Co-Ed Basketball (boys and girls in grades 1-2): Designed for boys and girls interested in learning the basics of basketball in a team environment. The program meets once a week beginning with practices, leading up to controlled scrimmages. There may be some Wednesday dates. Fee includes a t-shirt

Volunteer Coaches Needed!
We need volunteers to serve as coaches and assistant coaches. You don't have a lot of experience? Not a problem! Parks and Recreation conducts training for all coaches to get them started. Due to the need for volunteers, we reserve the right to withdraw any team without a coach.
