Dollars to Sense - Youth Managing Money (grades 6-up)
Managing money is serious business...teaching your children about it doesn’t have to be! Do your kids think money grows on trees? Do they routinely take their parents or guardians for granted? Now you can empower your kids to be proactive about their future career choice while
teaching them the importance of proper money
management. Unity One Credit Union’s interactive financial simulation, was designed to engage youth through a hands-on saving, spending and budgeting activity based on career and lifestyle decisions.

Youth truly discover and define needs and wants in this interactive real-life simulation. They are given a career with a salary and asked to visit booths tht represent real-life expenses like food, housing, transportation, insurance, etc. They will be tempted along the eway to spend more, and may have unexpected expenses or windfalls headed their way. The final outcome will determine if they can live within their means. IT’S A MATTER OF LIFE OR DEBT!
