Overview
The City of Inver Grove Heights desires economic development to provide jobs, increase tax base, and offer goods and service to its citizens.

The city strives to foster an attractive environment for both new and existing businesses by retaining existing businesses, assisting businesses with expansion, attracting new businesses to the community, and enabling the rehabilitation and redevelopment of commercial areas with the city. Economic development activities are directed by the Economic Development Authority (EDA). Marketing and other economic development services are provided through Progress Plus, a public-private non-profit organization.

The City Council is the Economic Development Authority in Inver Grove Heights. They meet quarterly on the following dates in 2013: May 13, August 12 and November 12.  The meetings are at 5:00 pm in the city council chambers.

Agendas are generally available the Friday before the scheduled Economic Development Authority meeting, and minutes are generally available after the following meeting.
