2016 Seal Coat Project, 2016-09B
At its April 25, 2016 regular meeting, the City Council awarded the annual street sealcoating project, City Project No. 2016-09B, to Pearson Brothers, Inc.

The City of Inver Grove Heights will be conducting the sealcoat project on several streets this summer as part of the City's Pavement Management Program.  The streets to be sealcoated are shown on the Sealcoat Project Map.   The project is scheduled to start on or near July 11, 2016, and should take approximately 1 week, weather permitting. This project will involve sweeping the streets, applying a bituminous material on the streets with a truck equipped with a spray bar, spreading and rolling the aggregate over the bituminous material.  Some streets may have striping that will need to be reapplied.  Additional sweeping of the loose rock will occur after the project is complete.

Temporary "No Parking" signs will be posted prior to the start of the sealcoat operations.  Please adhere to the temporary parking restrictions posted or risk being towed at the owner’s expense.

Please minimize your vehicle trips on the streets during the sealcoat operations.  This is a moving operation, access to streets and driveways will be maintained, but with temporary inconveniences.  The operations will utilize one lane of traffic at a time.  Please avoid driving on freshly applied oil; only drive on existing pavement or areas with sealcoat rock applied.

The sealcoat project will produce minor inconveniences to the residents in the area.  We will strive to complete the project as quickly as possible and thank you in advance for your patience.  Please contact Nick Hahn, Engineering Technician, at 651-554-3445 for questions or concerns.
