Family/Youth Activities

We have several events and programs you can enjoy as a family. Check back often for new additions! We look forward to having fun with your family!

Mother/Son Sports Night  I  Friday, March 15  I  6:30-8 p.m.  I  Ages 4 and older

This special winter events set-up fun activities for moms, grandmas, aunts or other special adults and children to spend time together and create special memories. We ask that it is a female adult only for this event.

Fees: $30/adult and child pair; $8/additional child

Location: Veterans Memorial Community Center


Open Skate Fun Nights

Come enjoy an evening of fun with your family on skates during one of our themed open skate events. Come dressed to match the
theme! Fees are the same as our Open Skate.

Shamrock Skate

Sun, March 17: 4:30-6 p.m. 


  • Members of the community center: Free
  • 18 years old and older without skate rental*: $5
  • 17 years old and younger without skate rental*: $4
 *Skate rental: $2 (we have child and adult sizes available for rent).

Egg Hunt I  Sunday, April 7  I  10-11 a.m. ; 11 a.m.-Noon

Swim and dive for eggs and then trade them in at the end of your hunt for an awesome goody bag! We will have 2 waves of hunts. Limited to 50 swimmers per wave.

Location: VMCC

This hunt is FREE but you MUST pre-register by March 31:

Egg Hunt I  Saturday, April 13  I  1 p.m.; 1:10 p.m.; 1:20 p.m.  I  Ages 3-10, accompanied by an adult

Hop on over to Rich Valley Athletic Complex and join us for some egg-citing fun. Kids will enjoy scrambling all over to collect their eggs.

This hunt is FREE but you MUST pre-register by April 10:

Egg Hunt I  Saturday, April 13  I  8:30 p.m.  I  Ages 10-13, accompanied by an adult

Join us at Rich Valley Athletic Complex for an exciting twist to an old tradition! This adventure takes place at night and you only have your flashlight to guide you.

This hunt is FREE but you MUST pre-register by April 10:

2018 Holidays in the Heights

It was a wonderful 2018 holiday season. Thanks to everyone that participated in our events! From the Tree Lighting Ceremony, Holiday VINGO and Breakfast with Santa to the Candy Cane Hunt, Skate with Santa and Holidays Cookies and Canvas. 

  • Hundreds of lights were strung
  • 64 snowmen were painted
  • 1,500 candy canes were found
  • 15 dozen cookies were frosted
  • 300 donuts were consumed
